Voucher Schemes

For residents and businesses in County Durham fast broadband connection has become a necessity for every day activities such as:

  • Remote Working
  • Education & Online Help
  • TV, radio, music and interactive games online.
  • Online shopping, applying for jobs or benefit
  • Online banking,
  • Staying connected with friends and family around the world.

However, in some areas carrying out these types of activities is still impossible due to slow broadband.

In addition to our digital durham broadband programme there are currently two alternative financial support schemes in place to help both residents and businesses get access to faster broadband. These schemes are*:

  • Gigabit Voucher Scheme
  • Rural Gigabit Voucher Scheme
