Stanhope goes superfast

StanhopeMore than 950 households and businesses in Stanhope are now able to connect to new, high speed fibre technology thanks to the Digital Durham programme.

Welcoming the news, Councillor Jane Brown, cabinet member for corporate services, Durham County Council, said: “We’re delighted that so many new residents and businesses in Stanhope are now able to access fibre broadband and all of the positive opportunities that it brings”.

“It’s extremely encouraging to see the positive impact that faster broadband speeds are having as part of the roll out across the county and we look forward to yet more homes and businesses being able to access this fantastic service”.

Elsewhere in Weardale around 4300 households and businesses in Frosterley, Wolsingham, Witton-le-wear and Tow Law can access the new fibre network, and further coverage is planned for 2016.

You can check online to confirm if you can order now or if you’re included in any current rollout plans.
